May 10, 2012 is Extreme Reading Relay

What is the Extreme Reading Relay?
The Extreme Reading Relay is a national awareness campaign and fundraising event
where invited schools, in partnership with the International Dyslexia Association (IDA),
will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the most people reading a single
book in one day. Nearly 2,000 students from schools across the U.S. will participate
in this historic celebration of literacy; demonstrating that all struggling readers can
learn to read successfully and become lifelong learners. The event will be streamed
live via the internet for the world to see.

IDA provides each participating school and their students with all the resources
and support they need to be successful both in raising awareness and in fundraising.

On May 10, 2012, more than 2,000 students with learning disabilities across the United States
will join forces to do something extraordinary...
They are going to attempt to break the Guiness Book of World Records reading relay record!
