Intel envisions e-literate teachers

Computer chip-making giant Intel Corporation has envisaged an ambitious plan for Uttar Pradesh -to promote digital literacy and produce computer literate teachers in the state. The global corporation is in advance stages of negotiations with the state government about executing its plan before the government begins distributing the promised laptops and tablets to youngsters.
"It is a commendable step taken by chief minister Akhilesh Yadav and has clearly impressed us," said Ashutosh Chaddha, director, Intel, South Asia, on the sidelines of the Hindustan Times Development Conclave.
