Library of Congress’ Surplus Book Program is a great way for schools and other institutions to continually update their libraries and keep their students reading

Beachwood Elementary School Receives Book Donation from Library of Congress via John Runyan

Beachwood–Earlier this month, Congressman John Runyan paid a special visit to the Beachwood Elementary School to donate books to the school from the Library of Congress through the Library of Congress' Surplus Book Program.

"I would like to thank the students, faculty, staff, and administrators for allowing me to come to Beachwood Elementary to donate books from the Library of Congress and read one of the books to the students. These are some of the best experiences I have had as a Member of Congress," the Congressman told TR Magazine. "The Library of Congress' Surplus Book Program is a great way for schools and other institutions to continually update their libraries and keep their students reading. Reading is one of the fundamental building blocks of education and encouraging reading now will help these students as they move through school and become our nation's future leaders."
