Austin Parkway Elementary School in Sugar Land recently received 12 new tables for its library and classrooms, thanks to a project undertaken by Eagle Scout Ben Barrow.
Barrow is a member of the Boys Scouts of America Troop 1294 of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
To carry out his Eagle Scout project, Barrow designed, built and painted the tables. He also donated $70 to the school's library for the purchase of new library books, according to a press release.
Barrow is a freshman at Clements High School and was formerly an Austin Parkway Elementary School student.
In the press release, Barrow said he had fond memories of his time reading in his elementary school library and wanted to do something for the entire student body at Austin Parkway.
