Funding IDRC supports research in developing countries to promote growth and development. We pursue that goal by funding research focused on reducing poverty and creating equitable access to resources and services. We support work that promotes good governance and builds strong policies. The applied research we back directly addresses existing or emerging problems in developing countries. We also offer expert advice and support to our grantees. And through our fellowships and awards, we're helping to train a new generation of developing-country and Canadian researchers.
